Nicholson's Transport

Nicholson Transport was formed over 20 years ago by Dave Nicholson whose guidance has ensured the company has grown and evolved over this period. Employing over 30 staff and generating a turnover of circa £2.5M per annum, the company provides a comprehensive Logistics Service to a variety of customers, including transport, warehousing and distribution.

Nicholson Transport has entered a new era and now forms part of the Nicholson Group. There is a new management team in place supported by the Nicholson Group Executive Board and together the plan is to grow the business further over the next five years.

The Pheasant Cookery School

The Pheasant Cookery School is a new ‘start up’ business scheduled for launch in Autumn 2010.  Nicholson Group has provided initial investment to support business planning, brand development, marketing support and fit out of the first cookery school at Close Farm, Wynyard.

“The Pheasant cookery school adds some diversity to our portfolio.  We are delighted to have secured planning consent to create the first cookery school on Teesside at Close Farm, Wynyard.  It’s a great location and we look forward to developing this new venture.  Initially we plan to focus on building the brand and developing the business model, and in the future create exciting franchising and licensing opportunities for cookery enthusiasts and like-minded business people.”

Box Clever

Box Clever Storage Solutions, formed in May 2007, provides a comprehensive, flexible and simple storage solution for a range of clients. Both business and domestic customers use a range of facilities provided by the company including mobile and static storage solutions, caravan storage and van hire.

Nichollson Hiab

Nicholson HIAB is a new company formed only in May 2010. Set up to address a gap in the market for a specialist HIAB operator, Nicholson HIAB is already prospering. With ‘start up’ investment and support from the Nicholson Group, plans are in place to grow this specialist business.

Learning in Logistics

Learning in Logistics was formed in June 2010 and provides tailor made training and development packages to the transport and logistics sector. John Craig, the company director and trainer, has worked at all levels within the industry for over twenty years. He has gained teacher status and is an affiliate member of (IfL) Institute for Learning. He also holds a DSA Lgv Instructor badge and is a registered JAUPT trainer.
